Rockpile is such a special place for Syrah. At 2010 ft. elevation our Syrah is grown above the fog line allowing for plenty of sun to reach full ripeness. Each offers a distinctly different character but they all have a beautiful minerality produced by the vineyard and the yeast that Jeff isolated from the vineyards that is now used commercially all over the world.
The Serine selection of Syrah produces our most coveted Rockpile Syrah.

This is a full-bodied wine for sure, but with great tension, that delivers freshness and vibrancy to this elegant wine. The palate is focused on black and red fruits, savory notes, floral and crush rocks.

The mineralty of this wine is up front and center, with red and black fruits intermingling, with clay and cinnamon stick in the higher tones of the aromatics that also start to showcase savory notes.
