The Next Step of The Dream From the Inside
Have you ever had the opportunity to be part of making someone's dream come true? Being an enterpreneur is difficult. It involves sleepless nights, a calendar that is unforgiving, and constant worry about keeping the business healthy and strong.
When you work for a family-owned winery you get the best and hardest parts of helping to build a business. There are people who are directly affected by every decision you make. There is a family that's depending on you to have their best interests in mind at all times.
But wine is all romance, right? Yes, as a supporter and member of our winery family, that's what it is for you and that's all you need to know. Except I would like you to know a few more things. This has been the most exciting venture I have ever been a part of.
When I started working for Jeff and Alexandra in late October of 2015, I was excited. We immediately clicked and communicated like we had known each other for decades. As the year progressed and plans were changing, the idea of moving to Sonoma came up. It made sense. It's where most of our vineyards live. It's where we belong. It was also a big move with a lot of pieces and parts that needed to be put in place while we continue all of our normal daily duties that put an already busy schedule in a whirlwind since late fall last year.
As we approach the finale of the planning part, and actually see the final product in sight with the new tasting room opening at the end of this month, I can honestly say, this has been the most exciting project I have been a part of. I don't know people who deserve this more than Jeff and Alexandra Cohn. I have worked for many family owned wineries in California. Each has had its own unique character and opportunity. Jeff and Alexandra bring everyone into their family. They are gracious, passionate, and committed. I couldn't be more proud to be a part of this wine family. Great things are coming. We'll keep you posted.
