Very fresh and vibrant nose, ripe blackberries, white and black freshly cracked peppercorns, and earthenware notes add great entry on the palate to spicy harmonies. Exotic with a combination of black and red licorice and cinnamon stick that leads to a long finish.

"Another wine with the exact blend of 75% Zinfandel and 25% Petite Sirah is the 2014 Orcio, also from the Cassata Vineyard. This is again, 15% whole cluster, but interesting-this is aged in terrra cotta amphoras, versus the 30% new French oak that the other Cassata Vineyard Zinfandel was aged in. Not as complex as its predecessor, but still medium to full-bodied, rich, dense, slightly lower alcohol (15.4%), this is a classic Zin to drink over the next 5-7 years."
