A rich ruby/black cherry color that exhibits aromas of wild raspberry, wild strawberries, white and black pepper and  underbrush (bramble). An almost over-the-top palate that is a multi-layered experience from black raspberry/ Kirsch that has an expansive mid-palate that shows both elegance and intensity with a generous finish.

Jeb Dunnuck 92 Pts From Amador County, the 2016 Zinfandel Rinaldi Vineyard was 80% destemmed and saw 18 months in 20% new French oak. Its deeper purple color is followed by a rounded, sexy bouquet of ripe plums, crushed violets, cedar, and sandalwood. It's fresh, has good focus, plenty of mid-palate depth, and a great finish. This is classic American Zinfandel that will keep for 7-8 years, probably longer. Conn Guide 92 Pts Intense, extracted blackberry fruit with a quiet note of rich-earth minerality and subtle hints of ripe blueberries give this nose its own distinctive cast, and while the wine has all the size, depth and richness that one expects of the winery, it holds itself out as distinctive more than different. Its full body and somewhat fleshy feel on entry lead to generous flavors and also to quite noticeable tannins, all of which lead us to want more mid-term than long cellar aging for this one.
