I simply love them. White wines are like windows, you see each aspect very clearly. It’s a precise and imprecise process. I always let the artistic take the lead and keep the science in the background.
Rhône white varietals can range from bright and mineral driven to unctuous with great depth. Alone or together as a blend, they all have a place in my cellar. Viognier, Marsanne, and Roussanne as well as Grenache Blanc find their way into my wines as a primary component or as an enhancement to the aromatics and flavor profile of my white and red wines.
