Aromas of black cherry, blackberry, crushed rock, and mesquite flow into a swirling combination of raspberry, graphite, nutmeg and vanilla bean. Flavors of kirsch, ground herbs, black raspberry, and black licorice fill the mouth, creating an experience that is voluptuous and polished.

"Another proprietary red is the 2013 #PureYum, a blend of 67% Syrah, 23% Grenache and 10% Mourvèdre. Aged in neutral French oak for 16 months, this wine tips the scales at a heady 15.2%. A relatively high percentage of 40% whole clusters was used during the fermentation. Delicious blackberry and cherry fruit as well as spice and licorice are all present in this full-bodied wine that is indeed exceptionally yummy. A multitude of AVAs were chosen for this blend, which Cohn has masterfully put together. This soft, savory, voluptuously textured and seductive wine should drink well for another 4-5 years. It's a beauty-both intellectually satisfying and hedonistic."

"Mr. Cohn's liking for ripeness and richness comes through very clearly here, yet for all the wine's amplitude and intimations of sweetness, it is not at all over the top and delivers plenty of generously oaked, dark berry fruit. It is at once wide open and moderately tannic in a way that both invites drinking and argues for a few years of age, but, whether held or enjoyed soon, it will fill the niche nicely as a foil to hearty, full-flavored dishes."

"Plump and well-structured, with floral blueberry and smoky plum aromas and appealingly ripe and zesty flavors of grilled herb, licorice and peppered beef that linger toward ripe tannins. Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2026."
Syrah from Rockpile, Grenache from El Diablo and Mourvèdre from Alta Colina Vineyards creates a wine of immense depth and complexity.
