2013 Orcio Cassata Vineyard Zinfandel

Or-cio    Italian noun. 1. jug, pitcher, or jar typically of Tuscan origin. This was our first year using a terra cotta amphora to both ferment and age this Zinfandel.  It combines a very Rhône-centric style of winemaking with something so completely Italian in nature.  Jeff created a Zinfandel that smells and tastes truly one of a kind.  Bottled young at 10 months, this wine will surely develop its secondary and tertiary aromas and flavors with more time in the bottle.
