Dark in red hues, on the edge and purple deep center with Herbs de Provence, sweet black and red fruits with liquid minerality. These 20+ year-old vines are the oldest plantings of Syrah at Rockpile- the Chapoutier suitcase clone. It's never the darkest or biggest wine from Rockpile, but always layered and complex.

"An assertive Syrah, showing power and finesse, offering aromas of berry cobbler and toasty spice, with rich flavors of smoky black cherry and licorice. The tannins build slowly toward the finish. Drink now through 2025."- TF
The very rocky mixture of granite clay and loam quartz-very volcanic in appearance. Granite gives structure, clay makes up the body, and quartz loam provides the finesse.
