Bud Break 2017 and Rain!

Harvest Already!  Not yet, but lots of activity in the vineyards. It feels like we just got all of the vineyards pruned and here we go with Bud Break!

Yes it's the start of the new vintage and what we may expect for this growing season.  The drought is over for now and yes we got a heck of a lot of rain.  This rain helps detox the soils and replenish at the same time.  Will this rain cause problems?  Not when you work with incredibly well-drained soils and growers who know their vineyards like the backs of their hands. In fact, I think this will be the first of many great vintages due to the rains we have seen, but please Mother Nature, you can turn off the faucet now!
